Learning them in a formal program lays the foundation for a sales pitch, a political speech, a job interview, a college admissions interview, a conference presentation, etc. They will explore topics more thoroughly, make better decisions, and leave a positive impression on others.

At SVPSO, our seasoned instructors have designed a robust curriculum for an open and uniquely enriching experience. The curriculum is centered on developing Communication,  Collaboration, and Confidence. Students will learn several Speech and Debate formats such as Impromptu, D/I Extemporaneous, Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum, Original Oratory, etc. The courses cover key skills, including evidence gathering, claim construction, persuasive speaking,  active listening, argumentation, critical thinking, and cross-examination.
